tortuga etterem is a restaurant in budapest, lajos kossuth str. it is a very special and unusual child-friendly place. front is the restaurant like a traditional house, but inside is reconstructed as a pirate ship, with small lakes under the tables. the most interesting and most amazing thing is the dozens of water turtles and golden fishing in the water. also some turtles sleep between the feet of the guests. in a bonus there are various dishes, the meals are very delicious in the average price range. plus very friendly staff. they can also pay with a debit or credit card. I recommend tortuga turtle on Hungarian weather.

the restaurant is colonized after a pirate ship and the atmosphere radiates it. it is really nice and eating is absolutely nice. the staff is efficient and friendly. you should try it.
all reviews of a star come from Americans who have no taste. this is my all-time favorite restaurant because of 3 dinge: 1. the view. it looks as if it were for pirates on a ship. 2. the turtles. they are very friendly and loving business. 3. The menu. It's just crazy brilliant, okay?!
the place is famous about its pirate theme and turtules that swim under the table they eat. eating is pretty good. it is good for one. bring your children, they will love it.
Ok, shark was nice. But weird version of beef tatar, and no local beers. There are real turtles.
Very nice place. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we were expecting the food to be better than it looked. Other wise a nice place to eat.
I had some very good food, but others in our group where less happy. The menu has changed from old times. Place looks still great with live water turtles. Staff is also good and helpful.
The restaurant was cold, the poor turtles were hurdled up under the radiators too. Food was barely acceptable. Design of the place is nice, but that's not enough to save it. Won't come back and wouldn't recommend.
